Initial phone consultations are 100% free and typically last 15 minutes. If you prefer an in-person consultation, appointments may be made for a small fee which will be credited towards your account should you decide to hire our firm.

Prior to your scheduled consultation, you will receive a link to complete a questionnaire online. This questionnaire will provide us with the basic information we need to determine your eligibility for immigration benefits. You may also upload documents you would like us to view in the questionnaire link.

We understand that legal services cannot be paid in full upfront. We work with our clients and offer payment plans within their means so that everyone has access to the legal representation they deserve.
An alien registration number is a nine digit number, preceded by the letter A, that is assigned by the Department of Homeland Security to individuals who have previously come into contact with the immigration system. (For example: A012-345-678)
You are not required to have an attorney for any immigration process, whether filed in or out of the Immigration Court system. However, immigration is a complex legal field and while many have successfully obtained their immigration benefits on their own, committing errors can have long lasting negative effects on your journey toward immigration benefits. For this reason it is recommended that you obtain competent legal counsel to assist you in filing your application for immigration benefits.
Each immigration benefit has its own processes for filing which can affect the timelines for processing. As such, processing times vary for each process. We strive to give you an accurate estimated timeframe for your process during your consultation; however, processing times are set by and subject to the Department of Homeland Security. Nevertheless, at the Luevano Law Firm, we do our best to file complete requests for immigration benefits in an attempt to cut down on follow up requests which could delay the processing of your case.
We cannot and do not guarantee any results in your case. However, our firm will work together with you to make sure we are aware of and address any possible negative factors in your case to give you the best opportunity for success.
After USCIS receives your application, they will issue you a receipt notice with a receipt number for nearly each form your file. You can visit https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do and enter your receipt numbers to check your application status online.
When an noncitizen is arrested, they may be subject to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer (commonly called an “ICE hold”). The ICE hold means that if bonded out of local law enforcement custody, the noncitizen may nevertheless be held in custody for up to 48 hours (excluding weekends and holidays), so that ICE may detain the noncitizen for processing. If ICE does detain the noncitizen, they may be released on their own recognizance, be given an immigration bond by ICE, or be denied an immigration bond by ICE and placed in removal proceedings in Immigration Court.
